The Island of Gondolin, which was located at the entrance of The Bay of Peril gains independence.
On September 8th, a Gondolin soldier was executed in the Babushkian capital. This event angered the people of the island of Gondolin. So on September 10th the capital city of the island, also called Gondolin, erupted in anti-war riots. Protesters flooded the streets with banners and signs. They marched to the Lord's house and crowded his lawn. The Lord himself was also an anti-war supporter and within a day a declaration of independence was made. It was called the Island's Decree. The Farallonian government allowed the decree to pass because it had to many things on its plate and Gondolin achieved independence. With their new independence the people of Gondolin called their soldiers back home. The people decided to create a democracy with the Lord as the leader. A form of senate was also created, it was called The Parliament. The current Lord, being in the same mind as the people, was allowed to stay in power for five more years. So every five years on September 12th a new Lord was elected. With this done the Gondolin Republic was formed in September of 1417.
