Anselmo Arruda has made his home in Itanhaem, Sao Paulo, into a skate park. Because he lived alone, he had more room than he knew what to do with, he says. So he started moving out furniture to make room to skate. Before long, sinks were pulled out and he started building quarter-pipes up the sides of remaining walls. Today the 'cave house' welcomes people from all over Sao Paulo. Arruda says the sport helped save his life, and he hopes the house will help others overcome hardship too
