Darius the Great became the ruler of Persia. As recorded on rock of Behistun (modern Bistun in north-west Iran), one of the satrapies of his empire was called Armina. From this time for two centuries, Armenia was a part of Achimenid Persian Empire and as such flourished and prospered.
