The silk road began around 130 B.C.E and itserved as a collection of roads up until 1435 C.E
It was a network of routes that connected different nations to each other, allowing them to contribute different goods to the trade game. The purpose originally was because the Chinese had silk and the Romans wanted it. It was established by the Han Dynasty of China to link different regions of the world. It connected many regions like China, Arabia, Egypt, India, or Somalia. Trade included things like silk, porcelain, copper, gold, papyrus, fabrics, spices, and ivory. The silk road shows the first form of globalization, trade was a form of interconnectedness that not only allowed people to spread goods but to share ideas and cultures.
