The Hong Kong Higher Institutions International Affairs Delegation held a press conference to announce that once the hong kong human rights and democracy act was passed, the US would sanction those who infringe on Hong Kong's autonomy, democracy and human rights. They had submitted a sanction list with more than 30 individuals. The delegation also said it would call for the freezing or repeal of the U.S.-Hong Kong Policy Act if the bill was not passed.
