Four members of the Hong Kong pan-democrats, including three legislators, Chan Chi-chuen from the People's Power, James To from the Democratic Party and Eddie Chua, as well as Nathan Law , the Standing Committee memebr of Demosistō, went to Taiwan to meet with various political parties and officials, including the Kuomintang, the Democratic Progressive Party, New Power Party and representatives of the Mainland Affairs Council. They held a press conference with Chiu Hsien-Chih, Chairman of the New Power Party, Hsu Yung-ming , party Caucus Leader of the party in the Legislative Yuan, and Huang Kuo-chang, a legislator from the party, to call on the Taiwan and Hong Kong governments to negotiate and handle their extradition needs through an mutual legal assistance agreement.
