The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce welcomed the government's announcement of a moratorium on the resumption of the second reading of the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance. Chamber of Commerce Chairman Aron Hari Harilela said the government's move was a good way to calm down and bring back rational discussion, and expected the government to engage in dialogue with the public to address and allay concerns about the draft.
