jan 22, 1905 - Bloody Sunday

Description:

A lot of labourers were dissatisfied with Tsar because the living conditions of the labourers were very low, but the SECRET SERVICE suppressed the criticism. In the few lasts months of 1904 the dissatisfactions grew more and more of the labourers. Until the moment they went on Sunday 22th of January to St. Petersburg. They demanded Higher wages and the right to vote in politcal elections. Instead of a peaceful demostration it became very violent. The Tsar's army massacred the protestors. More three hundred people were wounded and at least a hundred were killed. The peace returnded for a short period when the Tsar gave the people the oppertunity to form a parliament 'the Duma' however the influence of the Duma was very limited.
