Description:

Germany declared war on France because they wanted to get rid of Russia before it became too strong they also declared war on France to provent a TWO-FRONT WAR. Germany wanted to attack France with the SCHLIEFFEN PLAN. Germany would suprise attack France through Belgium and conquer it so that they could deal with Russia, However Great Britain supported France and Belgium because Germany violated Belgiums neutrality.
