Description:

At the beginning of 1950, it was still quite soon after World War 2, and the world was going into economic recession. Though America was doing well, and so were their large animation studios. Disney went from making filming movies and back into making animated Feature Films, starting the decade off with Cinderella, which would earn them $263.6 million at the box office. It was then that Disney decided that animation was well received by the public. Moving on to make 3 more animated features in the 1950’s, with Alice in Wonderland in 1951 (box office $5.6 million), Peter Pan in 1953 (box office of $87.4 million), Lady and the Tramp in 1955 (box office $187 million) and Sleeping Beauty in 1959 (box office $51.6 million).
