dec 12, 1919 - December 12, 1919. Polly Wilson's body was discovered in a culvert 6 miles west of Waldheim.
Description:
"Bright and early on December 12, Smith, Drysdale and Sparkman drove to the culvert, armed with picks, axes and shovels. With two men from the district, and a team of horses with stoneboat standing by, they began to dig in the frozen ground. About a foot down the came o a pair of ladies boots set at a 45 degree angle. The boots had bones in them and decomposed flesh. They worked until dark, and then continued the following morning. The body was buried about 4 feet deep at the hips" (Simmie, pg. 176).
"After photographs were taken of the body from all angles, and of the excavation, COroner C.M. Charlton ordered that the body be removed to Saskatoon" (Simmie, pg. 176).
