Just like all the other students in my school, I listen to mainstream music pop culture music produced in the United States using the application called Spotify. For example, I listen to Future, 21 Savage and Offset who are all American artists that are popular in Canada as well. I also listen to Drake, NAV and the Weeknd who are Canadian artists that are also very popular in the United States as well. Personally, I listen to music from India as well. These are perfect examples of the impact of globalization on culture. Also, the application called Spotify is based from London, England and, by being very popular in Canada and the United States, demonstrates economical factors. To add on, political factors are impacted because Spotify Premium purchases are automatically converted from Canadian currency into Euros without a bank, which is a legal form of currency in 19 out of 28 countries in Europe which demonstrating the merge of currencies.
