Description:

Developed between 1775 and 1779 by Samuel Crompton, the Spinning Mule had up to 1,320 spindles and was 150 ft long. This device was a cross between the Spinning Jenny and a Water Frame. The original was made out of wood but others soon followed that were made from metal and fully automated.
