Göbekli Tepe, considered "humanity's first temple", built about 12,000 years ago, marks the beginning of the proposed Human Era (HE). The significance of this structure is due to the nature of communal planning and cooperation for such a feat. HE is a new date system that adds 10,000 years to our current year. This system more accurately and inclusively portrays human development, and its proposal is most often credited to Eugene F. Stoermer, occasionally Antonio Stoppani. For the sake of this assignment, I will follow the modern dating system despite my personal qualms with it.
