jan 1, 1973 - Zimbardo Prison Experiment on Social Roles

Description:

Stanford students were either assigned the role of "prisoner" or "guard", the men who were to be acting as guards, however, began mistreating the prisoners so badly, that the experiment had to be terminated after only 6 days of running. This experiment was meant to study the conformity to social roles even in a mock-environment.
