Description:

Barnes had Ss receive a call from a "Tony Freeman" who would say he got their name from a shared class roster. Tony would then ask Ss for help with notes in class. He found that when "Tony" would say "I just don't take good notes" the Ss were less liekly to help, and when Tony would say "I had to miss class because I was ill" the Ss were more likely to help. This builds on a Social Responsibilty to others whose problems are out of their own control.
