jan 1, 1974 - Dutton and Aron study
on physical arousal and romantic
arousal
Description:
They had two situations in this study. The first situation was that an attractive woman would approach a man on a high-suspended and long bridge that seemed wobbly and unstable, the woman would ask the man to help her with a school questionnaire and at the end of the questions, the woman would give the man her name and her phone number. The second situation was on a shorter, and lower bridge; the attractive woman would do the exact same thing on this lower bridge. They found that over 40% more men called the woman when they met her on the higher bridge than the men who met hew on the lower bridge. Dutton and Aron concluded that exciting physical activities heightened romantic attraction.
