Experimenters had 1,486 players play an online rendering version of the toss-the-ball game. Then, Ss would be left out or ostracised from this online game. Despite the game is very minimal, the ostracized group still reporting feeling sad, depressed, and left out. After they were originally ostracized, they were far more likely to conform to group-wants on subsequent tasks and games.
