Description:
The research in this study shows that the "disrupt-then-pitch" way of sales and marketing often leads to a higher number of buyers. They would try and sell Christmas cards or cookies to people, and when asked to quote the price they would say something like "300 pennies", followed with "that's just 3 dollars", then "that's a bargain". This method of sales pitch lead to double the number of sales of the items.
