co-authored a study on
female attractiveness and
ovulation
Description:
The study was on whether
men could "detect" ovulation in women or not. The overlying theme is that they can, that there are definitely underlying changes in a woman when she is ovulating that make her appear more attractive. The study uses evidence and research from several different studies on the subject including a 2007 study by Miller, Tyber, and Jordan where they tracked the fertility cycle and the tips (in $'s per shift) of professional lap dancers. They found that the women who were not on contraceptives (that decrease hormone levels throughout the cycle) received $350-$400 dollars during their high-fertility phase, and around $175-$250 during the rest of their cycle.
