Was a French explorer who had many accomplishment sin his time. He found and sailed the saint lawrence river, and claimed and colonized Quebec for France. He actually found Quebec a little before this date but came back and colonized it in August, 1541. This put the French in Canada, and to this day, French is Quebec's official language.Added to timeline:
