jan 1, 1689 - English Bill of Rights Passed
Description:
The English Bill of Rights was signed after William and Mary of Orange were invited to rule England. It changed England into a constitutional monarchy meaning that it had checks and balances. It also took away some power from the monarchy so Parliament was involved in decisions. Lastly, it put in the toleration act which allowed both Anglicanism and Calvanism but banned Catholicism.
