Today for lunch I went out to Barakat downtown for some shawarma. Barakat is a Mediterranean restaurant with a menu of all middle eastern foods. This can be classified under the cultural/society impact of globalization because of the idea of the "shrinking world". I don't have to go to the middle east to get food from there because there is a restaurant just down the street, giving me as a consumer more choice in the food market.
