jan 1, 1952 - First Successful Nuclear Transfer
Description:
Robert Briggs and Thomas King moved the nucleus from a tadpole embryo to a frog egg that had the nucleus removed. The cell grew to a tadpole. Like Spemann, they were unable to clone frogs with a late embryo.
It proved that nuclear transfer was viable and confirmed previous conclusions about cloning.
