Description:

The Haitian was a " successful insurrection by self-liberated slaves against French colonial rule in Saint-Domingue." It was fostered by the terrible treatment of Haitian slaves. It consisted of a series of conflicts between Haitian slaves, colonists, the armies of the British and French colonizers, and more. Through the struggle came victory for the Haitian slaves, making Haiti the first country to be founded by former slaves.
