Description:

The twelve tables were established way before the patricians had too much power. A group of ten people (named The Decemviri) were appointed to create these laws so then particians and plebeians could follow. They put these laws on steel plates and put them up in front of the town so then everyone could have a visual; of them. Both of the groups of people were feeling that some sort of legal system had to exist to have a formal, civilized, long lasting country.
