Description:

Striving to find the Spice Islands themselves, and trying to prove that the Line of Demarcation from the Treaty of Tordesillas was pointless because the world is round, Ferdinand Magellan betrayed his home country of Portugal after being denied a journey. He then ran to their arch rival, Spain, and took the secret maps that helped Vasco de Gama reach India with him. He then on his journey, went around the entire circumference of the world, become the first man to circumnavigate it.
