aug 9, 1945 - 1944 - 1945 Only Japan left in Japanese Empire The United States continues to invade Japanese annexed territory. In 1944, they reconquer enough territory to attack Japan directly. On the 6th of August, the United States drops a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima, then 3 days later, another in Nagasaki. This leads to the deaths of thousands of people, but also the Imperial Japanese Emperor to abdicate. The allies win World War 2.
