jan 1, 1549 - Vestments Controversy
Description:
This was a controversy that is difficult to nail down exact dates, but surrounded the concept of wearing vestments or pastoral clothing. Much of this debate surrounded the concept of priesthood of the believer. The debate stemmed from John Hooper's insistence to not wear vestments and his argument with both Ridley and Cranmer. This begins further conversation in regard to reform. Eventually Hooper's vision becomes reality.
