The clothes I wear are a product of globalization, where culture/society is greatly impacted. Globalization in the clothing industry is where an abundance of fashions are sold by giant retailers who can update inventory, make transnational trade deals, and coordinate worldwide distribution of goods at the click of a computer. Clothing imports are an appealing element to Canadian consumers, giving them more choice in the clothes they purchase. From an environmental perspective, the manufacturing process of certain clothing, such as Nike shoes, is not environmentally friendly; a downside of globalization.
