Jonathan Edwards was a "New light" preacher and, is what some see as the beginning of the Great awakening. His church brought in the religious revival. His preaching's weren't emotional, but showed the intellectual of the enlightenment era. He later became pastor of a church in North Hampton when his grandfather passed.
