Description:

Louis XIV was born in 1638 and then died in 1715. He then became king in 1643, at the age of only four years old, despite this, he governed by himself because he was recognized as chosen by god, meaning that only he could rule the country. A group of other nobles tried to overthrow him a few years later and started a long civil war known as The Fronde, which shaped how he would rule in the future after winning. Another thing that he was notable for was his patronage of the arts. He commissioned many palaces to be made, and his palace at Versailles still remains to this day.
