The Atlantic World was a geographic region made up of four continents surrounding the Atlantic Ocean with a huge emphasis on connections, transactions, and migration. It measured the interactions among the people and empires, and began during the Age of Exploration. Sugar, tobacco, rice, and indigo were cash crops produced in the European market. They relied on slave labor because it increased the slave trade.
