Wales to go back into full lockdown for two weeks from Friday
Wales is set to go back into full lockdown from Friday, with everyone ‘required’ to stay at home. Non-essential shops as well as pubs and restaurants will be closed across the entire country in a return to measures not seen since the UK’s national lockdown was eased in May. The ‘firebreak’ will start when the schools break up for half term and last just over two weeks until November 9, as the country battles the second wave of the pandemic. First Minister Mark Drakeford said the lockdown would be a ‘short, sharp, shock to turn back the clock, slow down the virus and give us more time’. (Metro)
