Composer: HildegardThe title translates to "Order of the Virtues”. It was a morality play in which female virtues lead the fallen back to the community of the faithful.
This piece was unique because it is not a supplement to the Mass or Office of a certain feast (it stands alone).
In principio omnes (NAWM 7) is the closing chorus of the play, and consists of four rhymed lines followed by a prose speech by Christ and ends with a short call to kneel in prayer.
