Description:

This was the culmination of tensions between the U.S. and the British as well as the Indians allied with the British. The British had to be inciting the Indians to attack American settlements and sold guns to the Indians so they could do so. The British were also still impressing American sailors and remaining on American soil to the west like the lands obtained by the U.S. in the Louisiana Purchase. The war of 1812 came about because of Warhawks pushing for the nation to fight back against the British. It was a controversial war but ultimately led to nothing. No land switched hands.
