Before the arrival of Colombus, the Mesoamerica was populated by many agriculturally centered civilization that mainly grew the “three sisters”, corn, beans, and squash. There were highly populated cities within these societies as well as clearly delineated social classes.The people were polytheistic and went to war with one another on a regular basis. The main group of people to dominate this region were the Aztecs who maintained a substantial empire through violent subjugation.
