jan 1, 1790 - Federalists

Description:

**The Constitutional Convention began the fight for ratification between the federalists and anti-federalists.** The Federalists wrote the Federalist Papers which help to sway the delegates. The Ratification results in Washington’s presidents, the Bill of Rights, and the First Cabinet. The First Cabinet also had issues between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists about the national bank. Hamilton wanted to strengthen the federal government and Jefferson opposed him because of what he believed to be a misinterpretation of the Constitution.
