mar 2, 1807 - congress abolished slave trade

Description:

The first time African natives were captured and shipped from their native countries and brought to the colonies was in August 1619, when they arrived at the port in Jamestown, Virginia. As America started to develop and expand, the North transformed in a more commercial or city like place while the south remains in a more rural and farm type of living. Since factories or even jobs at banks did not depend on slave labor, the congress passed out a law and made slave trade illegal. People who disobeyed by this rule, Got fined and punished, and may have lost possession of their slaves.
