" The Articles of Confederation and the Constitutional Convention relate, because the convention came to be to revise the Articles." The Constitutional Convention happened because of the uprising of Shay's Rebellion. The reason this happened is because some people could not pay their taxes and were in danger of losing some of their land. Fifty-Five men represented twelve colonies went to Philadelphia in order to try and revise the Articles of Confederation. Nineteen of the fifty-five men were slave holders and the convention included people like George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, and Ben Franklin.
