It was the most beneficial for Portuguese Colonization. People like Christopher Columbus and Vasco De Gama. The Sextant was helpful because it could tell the explorer where they were on the earth and based on the horizon and stars. Lastly the Caravel was a great ship for exploring. It was faster and more lightweight.
