To get Hubble into orbit, the Discovery Shuttle flew 600km above the Earth, the highest a shuttle had ever flown at the time. Hubble created many notable photos, such as those of the Crab Nebula. It will soon be replaced by the James Webb Telescope.Added to timeline:
