Primary Structures: Younger American and British Sculpture was an exhibition held at the Jewish Museum in New York City from April 27 to June 12, 1966. Curated by Kynaston McShine the exhibition Was critically acclaimed for its breakthrough approach to new geometric and formally reductive artistic practice. The ‘66 show became prominent in art history and exhibition-making for using a new style of presenting ideas and objects in relation to space. The show Introduced 42 new artists and pushed the boundaries of painting and sculpture.
