jan 1, 1897 - Electron Discovery
Description:
J.J Thomson, a British physicist was venturing into the inside of the atom.
Thomson was experimenting with currents of electricity inside empty glass tubes. He was investigating a long standing puzzle known as "cathode rays". The mysterious rays were streams of particles smaller than atoms. The rays were made up of electrons which were very small and negatively charged particles that are an important part of every atom.
