jan 30, 1933 - Hitler Appointed as Chancellor of Germany
Description:
Hitler loses the German presidential election of 1932 to Paul Von Hindenburg. However, after months of negotiations, the president of Germany, Paul von Hindenburg, appoints Hitler chancellor of Germany in a government seemingly dominated by conservatives on January 30, 1933. Hitler gaining this new powerful position within Germany's government only furthers the popularity of the Nazi party and gives way to Hitler rise to power.
