may 7, 1915 - Tysk U-båt senker det amerikanske skipet Lusitania
Description:
Sailing from New York, the ship had reached the coast of Ireland when she was sunk. 1153 civilian passengers and crew drowned. 128 of them were Americans. There was great anger throughout America and Great Britain and although America did not join the war for a further two years the incident is credited as being one of the factors leading to them doing so.
