A number of Hong Kong students studying in Taiwan petitioned at the President's Office, hoping that the Taiwan government would help Hong Kong people speak out internationally against the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance and other views. Taiwan's president office issued a press release saying that Taiwan concerned about and supported Hong Kong's anti-amendments campaign and would refer the demands of Hong Kong students to the Mainland Affairs Council.
