Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council said that Taiwan and Hong Kong should have mutual legal assistance and that the Hong Kong government should not shirk its responsibility and manipulate the suspects to come to Taiwan on his own, saying that it may be difficult for the him to receive appropriate legal sanctions based on his personal confessions alone if Taiwan do not obtain complete evidence and information through mutual legal assistance.
