About 75% of life died due to a 50 meter drop in sea levels and a drop in ocean temperatures.Afterwards, in the Silurian period, jawless fishes diversified and the first ray finned fishes appeared. Marine life became widely distributed.
On land, the first vascular would evolve and terrestrial arthropods appeared.
