 Concrete has a stronger tensile strength than stone, but retains compression.
• Made of aggregate stones, lime, ash and gypsum
o Columns on the base are Tuscan
o Next level is Ionic
o The top level is Corinthian.
o It’s possible that the Parthenon inspired the idea to use multiple column styles.
o Barrel Vault
 Vault is basically a continuous arch.
